Beams and Hand Hewn Log Series

We offer a full line of timberframe and hand hewn log mantels.  These pieces make a great addition of comfort to any cottage or the more casual family room or rec room.  Choose from select hardwoods to pine and cedar softwood, and we will finish it with a hand rubbed oil and wax finish.

Regarding our line of Reclaimed Hand Hewn Logs. In the late 1800's and the early 1900's, barn builders would go out to the forest to pick cut down the logs which would become their storage structure for the next century. They would pick their trees, knock them down and then stand over them with an axe to square them up.  These axe marks are still apparent in these logs. They display plenty of character with their random markings, as well with their aged petina enhanced by the hand rubbed oil finish. Some mantles may even have mortise and tenon joints for added character.

Every log tells a story, let it tell you a story over your fireplace.
